How old am I? | acerafitap.ga
Is this a good thing? It's a question of how old you can act as well as how old you look. You may get called up from your headshots but if you can't convincingly play an older age or do so as well as the other auditionees you won't get any further. If I was you I would think back to which roles have been your best performances and whether were they playing close to own age or older.
If you were playing your own age then I would stick with that. I wholeheartedly agree that the stated age only policy of CCP is restrictive; we all play within a range according to context, character, costume and so on. I'm 39 and have been for many years now.

And anyway, surely the conversation should go something like this: This is a good thread from Carrie because this affects all CCPers. Choosing a single playing age can be difficult. The point about the age ending in a 0 or 5 is good; I'm thinking about changing my age now that I've read that. I spoke to CCP yesterday about the 'playing age' thing, prompted in part by this thread but also because I had just been to an audition for a talking book version of a play.
Although the director will use me he was surprised i had not put myself forward for some of the lead characters which had by now been cast. I explained the age restriction on CCP prevented me from doing this - particularly frustrating for Voice work. This surprises me as I would much prefer that than 1 single playing age Home Forum How old am I?
