Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. OK, so,,, if I follow the advice in Super Health, supposedly I can sleep better, feel better, have less stress, reach my ideal weight and have more energy.

Almost every health book I've read has made similar claims. What struck me as very different in this book were some of the health tips that go against what I have been taught by other health professionals. Without giving too much away, author K. C, Craichy advocates getting out in the sun!

You won't hear that from too many health books today, but when explained why the Sun is healthy in moderation of course , it makes perfect sense. At least it is the one that I have been able to follow, and that has to count for something! My teen age daughter has taken to calling me " Super Health Dad " as I quote the book often and adhere to it's advice, something I have NEVER done with other health books to this extent.

All kidding aside, this book should be required reading in high schools across the country. Some health authors seem intent on coming up with very unique diets or recommendations just to stand out from other books. It appears that the author of Super Health had no agenda other than to assemble the very best health information he could find into a book that is both practical and easy to follow.

My husband was not thrilled to learn that doughnuts were 2 on the list of 7 worst foods in Super Health. Many books over the years have pointed out bad foods, but few have the easy to follow blueprint of what we should eat, how we should exercise, hydrate, sleep, etc. I'm thrilled to report that my Dunkin Donut loving hubby has scaled back his daily doughnut consumption.

He too read the book and was all too happy to point out " Myth 4- Eggs are bad for you ". Guess he feels he has a moral victory with that one and had a twinkle in his eye as he pointed it out to me, ha! Filled with real world advice, this is the first health program my husband I have read together and followed and that alone says something.

As the country debates the merits of a mandated health care system, I began to wonder what would happen if we followed sound health advice as a nation? Craichy's ground breaking book, Super Health, preventative measures are abundantly described and incredibly useful. Unlike foolish, flash in the pan diets or health programs that advocate eating grapefruit with every meal can you say acid reflux! Maybe they should have named it the " Benjamin Franklin Diet "! While health and health insurance programs focus on treating the symptoms, this book is loaded with preventative measures I can take with my family to ensure optimum health.

The information about healthy drinking water options revealed a very different overview of bottled water and the importance of hydration. I received the Super Health: Seven golden Keys to Lifelong Vitality and it has changed my health and life. After reading many books on diet and health, this is the first complete compilation of information bound together with a livable system to guide you. Unlike one of the other reviewers, I want to know all the information on what affects my health in order to make informed decisions on the options I have on food, exercise and environment. I see this book as a guide to optimizing my lifestyle for vibrant health and energy not as rigid restictions that must be met at all times.

  • I have adopted most of the book's recommendations in my life over the last 3 months and I have lost 30 pounds, overcome sleep apnea, developed a more intimate relationship with God and recieve much greater joy and satisfaction from my life. I recommend this book to everyone who believes they can achieve more from life than they are right now. As I travel a good deal on business, I am tested by constantly changing conditions and have struggled with finding a routine or fitness regimen that works.

    I read Super Health on a flight recently and was encouraged to find guidelines or a blueprint that worked for me. I've dropped a few extra lbs and the wife seems to think I'm looking healthier, so it seems to be working. I'm looking forward to long term results and feel confident that this program will deliver as it is more of a lifestyle make over than a flash in that pan eating system or miracle diet.
